Fresh turmeric barfi | Raw turmeric laddu


Till now, all of us have used turmeric as a spice in vegetables etc. But do you know that you can also make sweets with turmeric? If this dessert made from turmeric is eaten during the winter season, it protects the body from cold and also helps us to maintain our health perfect. Turmeric made from turmeric is good for health, as well as its taste.

necessary ingredients

Turmeric – 200 grams

Jaggery – 1 cup (250 grams)

Ghee – ½ cup (100 grams)

Coconut powder – ½ cup

Wheat flour – ½ cup (75 grams)

Almond Powder – ½ cup

Melon seeds – 4 cups

Cashews – 2-3 tbsp

Nutmeg – 1 tsp (grated)

White pepper – 1 tsp (coarsely ground)


Wash the turmeric thoroughly and dry it after peeling it. Wash the peeled turmeric once again and grate it. Put grated turmeric in a mixer jar and add 1-2 tablespoons of water to it and grind it finely.

To make barfi, put 2-3 tablespoons of ghee in the pan and melt it. When the ghee melts, add flour to it and mix it and fry till it turns light brown and smells good. Flour is ready, take out the roasted flour in a separate plate.

Now put almond powder in the pan and roast it on a medium flame while stirring continuously. After roasting for 1 minute, add coconut powder to it and fry it again for 1 minute while stirring. Now take out the roasted almond-coconut in a plate.

Put the melon seeds in the pan and fry them lightly while stirring continuously, take out the roasted seeds in a bowl. Now put cashews in the pan and roast them lightly. Take out the roasted cashew in a bowl.

To roast turmericbarfi put 2 tablespoons of ghee in the pan, add ground turmeric to it and mix it and roast it on low-medium flame. When the ghee starts separating from the turmeric and its slight color changes as well, theturmeric is ready to roast. Take out theturmeric in a plate.

After that

Now put jaggery in the pan and melt it on low heat. When the jaggery melts, add roasted turmericroasted flour, roasted almond-coconut, roasted cashew nuts, nutmeg, white chili powder, a few melons and mix them well. Cookturmeric a little bit, it will dry well.

Barfi mixture is ready, pour this mixture on a plate covered with ghee and spread it well. Now put the remaining melon seeds on it and press it with a spoon and keep it cool. After 1 hour the mixture is well set and ready.

Once the mixture is set, cut it in any shape according to your mind. Serve the barfi pieces out of the tray and keep them in a plate. Turmeric barfi filled with flavor is ready. You can fill this barfi in a container and use it for eating for 2 whole months.
